On the 8th floor of Hotel Casa, you’ll find the perfect spot for a summer date, a majestic view of the city, or just an ice-cold beer with a good snack.

My green rooftop garden offers stunning views over Amsterdam. But with the summer season coming to an end, the final round has been served and my the rooftop is now closed for the season.

At GAPP, we celebrate good old Mokum. No need to go over the top – just good vibes and good food. And if you ask me, no proper hangout is complete without a decent snack. On the menu: snacks, salads, BBQ, and burgers.

We went to Gapp because we were staying at the hotel. We were pleasantly surprised. The view is quite nice, and the rooftop is very pleasant. The staff is welcoming, and the menu is perfect. We had drinks and a platter which was very good. We recommend the parmesan fries with truffle sauce: excellent!

At GAPP, there’s a little moment of pure happiness every day: Extra Happie. Order a pitcher of Limoncello Spritz, Arancia Spritz or beer between 16.00 and 18.00 and add a portion of (vegan) bitterballen for just €1 extra.

ABOUT GAPP

GAPP begins with our biggest buddy; Gabbe Scheltema, born and raised in Amsterdam. He was one of the founders of Hotel Casa and remained involved with CASA until his very end. This legend lives on in GAPP, the green rooftop terrace of Hotel Casa.

Gabbe also gives GAPP its name (gap, gabber means 'friend' in Amsterdam slang) and it's love for Mokum.
