ROOFTOP SEASON 2024 HAS COME TO AN END.

GAPP is your go-to rooftop for spontaneous gatherings and drinks on the 8th floor of Hotel Casa in East Amsterdam.

As autumn settles in, the rooftop has now closed its doors. A warm thank you for a vibrant summer filled with great views and even better beers. The excitement is already brewing for the reopening next spring. See you again in the beginning of April 2025. Until then, cheers gappies!

We went to Gapp because we were staying at the hotel. We were pleasantly surprised. The view is quite nice, and the rooftop is very pleasant. The staff is welcoming, and the menu is perfect. We had drinks and a platter which was very good. We recommend the parmesan fries with truffle sauce: excellent!

ABOUT GAPP

GAPP begins with our biggest buddy; Gabbe Scheltema, born and raised in Amsterdam. He was one of the founders of Hotel Casa and remained involved with CASA until his very end. This legend lives on in GAPP, the green rooftop terrace of Hotel Casa.

Gabbe also gives GAPP its name (gap, gabber means 'friend' in Amsterdam slang) and it's love for Mokum.

Sometimes I just crave something different. Stubborn and complex. Surprising and full of flavour. These beers make your mouth party. It’s like an angel pees on your tongue. A little bit funny, but ridiculously good.

Bitterherrie, that’s how I call snacks that don’t taste so good. Thank god these beers are anything but! What makes them special? Well, they have subtle hints of bitter. A true explosion full of flavour! And don’t worry; I always make sure the snacks are mighty fine.
